Control the Spine
Control the Spine 22.05 (Maher)
Wanshunyi and Wanshuner 22.08, 22.09 (Young)
Control the Spine is a 3 point unit on the lateral aspect of the 5th metacarpal bone. They are often described as SI 2.75, SI 3.25, and SI 3.75, but I find it works just fine if you nestle the most distal needle right next to the curve at the head of the 5th metacarpal, the most proximal needle right next to the curve at the base of the bone, then locate the middle one right between these two.
Dr. Young describes it as a 2 point unit. 22.08 Wanshunyi is described as being 2.5 cun distal to the wrist crease on the lateral edge of the 5th metacarpal bone where the skin changes colors/textures. 22.09 Wanshuner is listed as 1.5 cun distal to the wrist crease. There is no middle point between these two in Dr. Young’s books.

The Small Intestine channel drains damp. The Small Intestine channel is also related to the Bladder through their common Taiyang association. You can also image the leg onto the 5th metacarpal and 5th digit with the knuckle representing the knee, which is why it can treat knee pain on the back of the knee.
This is the reaction are of the Kidney, which is why it is indicated for kidney problems. Remember that tinnitus is a problem often related to kidney decline.
