Wu Hu - 77.27

Wu Hu, or Five Tigers, is a five-point unit on the lateral margin of the proximal phalanx of the thumb. These points are on the A-line (the radial margin) where the skin changes colors or textures. You can use these points singly or in combination.

The Zu Wu Hu points, five points on the great toe, echo these points. You can use these interchangeably with the Wu Hu points when needed.

To locate the Wu Hu points:

  • Point 1 Point 1 is located at the joint line between the proximal and distal phalanx. This is the most distal point. If you think about it from a mirror/imaging perspective, this represents the head or top of the body.

  • Point 2 Locate this at the midpoint between 1 and 3.

  • Point 3 This is the mid-point between Point 1 and Point 5

  • Point 4 Locate this at the midpoint between Point 3 and Point 5.

  • Point 5 Point 5 is located at the line of the metacarpo-phalangeal joint. From an imaging/mirroring perspective, this can represent the feet or lower body.
