Xin Men, also known as Heart Gate, is a point on the Small Intestine channel 1.5 cun distal to the olecranon process of the elbow.
Like Chang Men and Gan Men, needle this point by placing the patient's hand palm side down on the armrest of a chair, on a pillow, or on the treatment table if the patient is lying on their back.
Palpate the lower margin of the ulna with your fingernail to find the edge of the bone. Insert the needle just below this bony margin and slide the needle underneath the edge of the bone.
